NO CASH PAYMENTS
Please do not try to drop off cash payments to my house. First of all, I am not on your schedule and finding me at home is not always easy. Secondly, this is not a secure type of payment to be at my house waiting for deposit. If you do not deal in checks or credit cards, please get a money order. The audit trail is much easier!! Please mail to the PO Box on the top of the invoice, that is why we pay to have it. We have about 260 shareholders and I cannot meet with everyone coming to my house. Thank you for your understanding.
BALLOTS WERE MAILED 6/27/2026
Ballots for the upcoming election of new Directors are in the mail. You can vote and mail them back or bring them to the meeting on July 30, 2026 at the Redlands United Methodist Church. Your ballot should have the seal of Redlands Village Ditch Company embossed into the ballot!
Instructions on how to vote are included with the ballot.

EVEN Addresses - Monday, Thursday, Saturday
ODD Addresses - Tuesday, Friday, Sunday
RWP will be taking the following actions to help conserve water so that all Shareholders get some water:
RWP is asking Homeowners Associations to help by asking your homeowners to water on an odd/even rotation schedule between the hours of 9 pm to 8 am to help conserve water.
If all else fails RWP will have no choice but to lower the levels of water in all canals.
RWP will be pinching all headgates.

WATER BILLS FOR 2026

As I had cancer in 2024, I am currently in the process of collecting all past due amounts, our water invoice from Redlands Water and Power is $39,100.00 and it takes all of us paying our shares to keep this irrigation system running. A lot of shareholders say "I never received a bill" so let me explain the process I use:
1. I check off every shareholder on a list as I print the invoice.
2. Then after inserting the invoice in the envelope, I check them off again before mailing.
Your irrigation water payments are due every year in the Spring, please be responsible for this payment!

In response to communications circulating throughout the neighborhood since the Annual Shareholder’s Meeting, here’s a an update on current topics.
RVDC BOARD
The current Board is comprised of ALL VOLUNTEERS, except for Joe & I (who also volunteer). Please check out the Board members on the RVDC web site and get to know who they are. Were they elected by a majority of the 266 shareholders as per the Bylaws? No, they were not. They stood up at a meeting and said, “I can HELP!” The Board is comprised of anyone that stood up and volunteered. It is not a dictatorship - the Board votes with a majority to pass any major issue. For instance, the price increase per share this year. I personally appreciate all of them and the time that they give to helping our irrigation water stay flowing!!!
RVDC BYLAWS
Bylaws for our corporation were last updated in 2009. The Board is in the process of doing that now. The Bylaws are accessible on the BOARD page of the website and can be reviewed by each shareholder.
STOCK CERTIFICATES & BOARD VACANCIES
Stock Certificates have been completed, but not mailed, because they need a signature by a President or Vice President, along with mine. These roles have been vacant since Don Legg resigned. The Board will be nominating & voting on the assignment of these roles, to get a President established so the Certificates can be sent out.
SHAREHOLDER IDENTITY
Everyone is recorded in the bookkeeping system as to who the shareholder is, the amount of shares, the cost of their share(s), and a balance of their individual account. If your property is in an LLC, Corporation, Trust, etc., I need a letter identifying the shareholder for the entity that now owns the property. (If your organization is named the ABC Land Owners, I have no contact information for a shareholder. Specific account information will only be communicated with shareholders.)
FINANCIAL UPDATE
Without disclosing specific numbers on a public web site, RVDC currently has a greater balance in the bank account than we’ve carried in the past. We will invoice and receive yet another year of shareholder water assessments (Spring 2027) before we have to pay our next water bill from Redlands Water and Power (for 2027). We incurred the largest expenditures for maintenance in 2025, due to needed repairs on the pumps to keep the water flowing from the pond. OUTSTANDING BALANCES & COLLECTIONS
Shareholder receivables are currently high, which started during COVID and continued thereafter. The Board has discussed best procedures for handling outstanding receivables. As the treasurer of RVDC, my job is to maintain the accounting for the organization. I am not a collections agent. I do send out overdue account notices, and Joe & I went to each property, trying to reconcile overdue balances. Currently, we have received about 87% of this year’s water assessments. There is still a remaining balance to be collected from previous years. The Board is researching the process of putting liens on the accounts with larger outstanding balances.
DIGITAL PAYMENTS
Some shareholders are now opting to use credit cards to pay their water assessments. If you’d like to use this option, you can simply scan the QR Code on your invoice.
